Chapter 01 …
Prologue
A beast stood guard in front of her, and a wildcat behind her.
Though, thinking about it now, maybe “beast” wasn’t quite right.
After all, accepting his proposal to pretend to kiss, and coming all the way here, had all been her own choice.
So why did it feel as if she was about to be completely devoured?
“How far are you planning to run? It’s not like I’m forcing myself on you.”
His lazy half-polite tone brushed against her ears.
The railing behind her pressed into her waist. There was nowhere left to retreat.
The sound of laughter was growing louder. Their classmates were getting closer.
“If you don’t want to, you can still leave now.”
She hadn’t even properly finished her revenge yet. She couldn’t back down here.
Doa clenched both hands tightly and spoke.
“…D-do it.”
“You won’t regret it?”
“I won’t. Absolutely not.”
It was just lips touching, so what was the big deal? It wasn’t like she would die or get hurt.
Their lips would simply meet. That was all.
Chagyeong stepped closer.
His sharp jawline and flawlessly handsome features suddenly filled her vision. At this distance, that face was downright unfair.
‘Ah.’
Unable to bear it, she squeezed her eyes shut.
Warm breath brushed against her lips first, and then something firm and hot suddenly descended upon them.
Even though the touch was featherlight, Doa’s breathing gradually quickened.
‘Just until they pass by like this…’
But suddenly, the lips that had only lightly touched hers gained weight.
‘Wait.’
She had no time to think. Chagyeong’s hand gently wrapped around the back of her neck, and then he bit down hard on her lower lip.
“Mmph…”
Every time he ruthlessly ravaged her sensitive lips, her head spun dizzyingly.
‘Does he really have to go this far? We just need to touch lips, that’s all.’
Doa placed her hands against Chagyeong’s chest to push him away.
But no strength entered them.
The thought that she should push him away melted at the edge of her lips, and nothing else came to mind.
For an act, he was far too persistent. For mere pretending, he was unbearably hot.
Her heart kept pounding violently.
‘…No.’
This man was dangerous.
Doa desperately prayed that what she was feeling was not love.
