Prologue
Tulia was beautiful.
But her personality was awful. Really awful.
In other words, she was a villain.
No matter which way she went, she always ended up in bloody disasters—your typical villain.
The only slightly unusual thing about Tulia Frazier was that she wasn’t a villain in a novel—she was a villain in a game. That was it… until one more thing happened.
I never expected it to happen.
Why did I wake up as this terrible character?
My real name is Hanina.
If I had to sum up Hanina’s life in one sentence, it would be:
A ruined life.
My life started falling apart after my mom and stepdad passed away one after the other.
I never expected my older brothers—who shared no blood with me but were legally my siblings—to make such a strange proposal.
“An arranged marriage? I was 22 at the time.”
It had been less than six months since the funerals.
They talked about business connections and the boss’s only son, but it didn’t make any sense to me.
Even if they had lots of money, what did it matter?
They were seventeen years older than me and had already divorced twice. After completely ruining the family business, they were now forcing me into marriage. I found them disgusting.
They slapped me when I refused.
When they told my older sister to go instead, she was kicked out of the house.
Luckily, I quickly found a decent studio apartment and started living alone, balancing part-time work, school, and job hunting.
One day, I was playing that game as usual.
“Why Did the Young Lady Give the Bread to the Handsome Man?”
Shortened as The Bread Game.
It had become a huge hit when it launched, and even years later, it remained at the top of the store charts.

This game combined character growth with romance and had beautiful illustrations, intricate plot hooks, and tons of content. It had a solid fan base, including me.
“I wish I had money to unlock all the endings immediately.”
Like other games, you could pay to see endings right away.
But I barely had enough for rent, so I had no choice but to play normally.
Even so, it wasn’t boring. There were hundreds of illustrations, so it was fun to see the characters’ faces.
Lately, I was obsessed with the pink-haired villain.
At first, I just thought she looked pretty and flashy, like all characters in the game.
But the more I played, the more I realized how hopeless she was.
She was full of classism, always finding ways to bully the main character, a girl born out of wedlock. Her methods were cruel and relentless.
If the duke grandfather adored the main character, or if the male leads loved her, the villain would always appear to cause trouble—or even try to kill her.
“How many death endings does this girl have?”
Even after years of playing, I still saw new illustrations of her being stabbed, beheaded, poisoned, pushed off cliffs, or hit by carriages.
It was already a lot.
But then, while zooming in on her psycho-like expressions…
– GAME OVER
“What?”
Why did the game suddenly end?
Even though I hadn’t touched anything, the game froze and displayed [GAME OVER]. I panicked and lifted my phone—but it didn’t move.
The phone just froze with the words “GAME OVER,” looking like something out of a horror movie.
“Good thing I don’t have work tomorrow…”
I thought I would take it to a repair center in the morning. But I never saw the morning.
Somehow, my older siblings found my apartment that night. They forced me into a car.
“Hanina, the boss’s son saw your Instagram. He really likes you.”
They tried to persuade me.
“They said you seem so pure, unlike other girls.”
They tried to flatter me.
“You selfish girl! What if you ruin the company’s deals?”
They threatened me.
It was raining heavily. The car was full of shouting and chaos.
“…!”
My last memory was of the car slipping on the wet road, tipping sideways, and my older siblings screaming as they gripped the wheel.
After that—everything went black.
I don’t know how much time passed.
When I opened my eyes and ran to the mirror, I couldn’t help screaming.
A beautiful face, but the eyes were cold and harsh.
I had become the crazy villain in the game—the one with dozens of death endings.
Tulia Frazier was now me.
