Chapter 35
“Hmm.”
Somang, asleep on the living room floor, seemed uncomfortable and gradually started pulling her T-shirt up.
Hangeol, sitting on the sofa, couldn’t just watch as her shirt crept up, so he covered her with a blanket.
“Gyura, why don’t you go sleep in your room? Let her sleep here.”
“Should we move Somang to her room?”
“Don’t bother. Carrying our little piglet will give you a sore body.”
Although he spoke as if he was thinking of others, Hangeol knew it was really for Somang, who wouldn’t easily fall back asleep once woken.
Hangeol wasn’t usually scared of much, but there was one thing he feared: Siwon’s reaction when he and Somang got married. He didn’t know if Siwon would be favorable or indifferent.
He knew how shameless and aggravating Siwon could be.
But even now, as long as Siwon wasn’t home, he was preoccupied with Somang, regretting the mistakes he’d made before. He didn’t want to repeat them.
Apologizing to Siwon aside, Hangeol was focused on winning Somang’s heart.
Quietly, he got down and lay beside Somang.
Feeling the warmth against her back, Somang turned over, pressing her face to his chest, her soft shoulders rising and falling rhythmically. Watching her fragile form stirred a deep desire within him.
“I must be crazy.”
Blood rushed quickly to him, and he drew in a deep breath.
The faint scent of soap filling his nose didn’t calm his desire; instead, it made him dizzy. As Hangeol tried to quietly move, Somang placed her leg over his thigh.
She fidgeted helplessly, unaware of how she affected him.
After a while, her dense eyelashes lifted slowly.
“Oh, oppa?”
Somang wriggled in his arms, brushing hair from her face. The ticklish motion made Hangeol exhale sharply without meaning to.
“Somang, shall we get up?”
“Oppa, did we… sleep like this?”
Her eyes, half-closed, asked if Siwon had seen them.
“Siwon already went to work. I was just on the sofa.”
Hangeol brushed sleep crust from her eyes and leaned back slightly.
Somang rolled her eyes, scrunching her brows into a mock-serious expression.
“Did I… attack you again? I don’t usually sleep like this, only with you, oppa.”
Her eyes drooped apologetically.
The person who really needed an apology wasn’t her.
“Since it’s like this, can we just… stay like this a little longer?”
She nuzzled his chest, pouting in a sleepy tantrum.
“Just five minutes.”
She hugged his firm body tightly.
“Hmm.”
Warmth and solidity. No, he felt more than that.
“Hmm, I’ve changed my mind. Shall we get up?”
Somang loosened her hold slightly, trying to put some distance.
“Too late.”
In an instant, Hangeol’s eyes darkened with desire, and he wrapped around her waist.
“Touch me.”
He pressed his lips lightly to her neck. As his hand slid beneath her T-shirt, Somang squeezed her lips to keep from moaning.
Every time his large hand traced her curves, she bit down hard to stifle the sound.
When her lips had turned white from biting,
“Th-This… why, why are you doing this?”
The warmth and hardness under his palm made her shiver.
“You didn’t properly greet me last time, right?”
His calm whisper in her ear made goosebumps rise and her blood race.
“But… does it hurt if you touch me?”
Out of pure curiosity, she pressed slightly.
“Ha.”
Hangeol rested his forehead against her shoulder, exhaling roughly.
Somang traced and caressed him, exploring every inch of his body.
“Ha, Baek Somang.”
Each time, Hangeol exhaled heavily, his forehead creasing.
It was fascinating—seeing Hangeol crumble in her hands.
The straight-laced man had a new side, and she loved it so much she wanted to keep watching.
“Is this… okay?”
Her loose tracksuit stretched over her chest.
“Not okay.”
His voice, brushing her ear, was rough, mixed with raw desire.
The sound alone made her legs tingle, and the heat growing beneath her was maddening.
“Should we stop?”
She said it without meaning it.
“Ha.”
Hangeol’s sticky breath along her neck made her wet in shock.
As her hand hesitated, trying to cover him,
“O-Oppa…!”
Her back hit the hard living room floor, her wrists pinned above her head. Hangeol instantly gained the upper hand, pressing closer.
“Baek Somang.”
Her eyelashes lifted slowly, and his lustful gaze met hers.
“You like to play with me, don’t you?”
“But… oppa told me to touch.”
Her voice lowered, intimidated by his blood-red eyes, but the effect of her excuse loosened his grip slightly—until his hand went down and grasped her bra tightly.
“Hng! I didn’t tell you to do that…!”
Somang froze.
“So… kissing is allowed?”
Hangeol tilted her head, holding her cheek, perfect for a kiss.
His tongue invaded her mouth relentlessly, exploring every corner. The contact became more intense, raw, and consuming.
“Phew.”
Finally, after the wet chaos, they could breathe, but it wasn’t over. His hand moved down, pulling her pants and underwear along with it. Somang had no choice but to bite her lips to stay conscious.
“Hah!”
She shivered from the overwhelming arousal she had never experienced before.
Seeing Hangeol so primal and wild, Somang thought: she wished Siwon would disappear from this house forever.
From morning until now, Hangeol and Somang hadn’t been apart.
Whenever their eyes met, their lips met too. After indulging in each other, they went outside to cool off in the river breeze.
“Wow, the weather is so nice.”
They spread a mat in the park and opened the cage. Excited, Gamja ran around Somang in circles.
Gamja, wearing a brown outfit with a backpack, looked especially cute today.
“I’ll go for a walk.”
Gamja ran happily in a harness, with Somang chasing after him.
Seeing Somang laugh made Hangeol’s heart swell. He hoped this peaceful life would continue.
“Oppa!”
Somang jumped and waved from afar.
“Does Gamja like this much?”
Jealously, Hangeol, sitting alone, waved reluctantly.
Gamja would go home tonight, meaning Hangeol could monopolize Somang’s affection.
True to his wish, after the walk, Gamja returned home.
Meanwhile, Siheung.
Waaah—whee—
Fire trucks and ambulances lined up in front of an officetel.
Thick smoke rose skyward as people gathered on the controlled street, making the area chaotic.
“Is there a fire?”
“Yeah, I think so. Look, black smoke.”
A student with a large backpack tilted his head, counting the building floors.
“Hey, let’s go. My eyes sting.”
“Wait, this is interesting.”
