Chapter 22
Sohee, who had been peering inside the shop, took a step forward.
Then, just as she was about to reach her hand toward the door, her head naturally turned to the right.
Someone was approaching. And they had a very familiar flow of mana.
“Tch.”
Sohee clicked her tongue briefly and stepped away from the front of the shop.
As she hid herself within the shadows, noisy voices filled the quiet alley in front of the shop.
“I’m telling you, I’m right!”
“And what if I’m right?”
“I’m the Guild Master!”
“I’m the Vice Guild Master.”
“You never let a single word go!”
It was Shin Nara of the Shilla Guild and her secretary, Kim Jinwoon.
The two of them had been arguing over the same topic for more than a day. The topic of their conversation was this:
‘The reason Nara’s skin suddenly became better.’
Both of them believed it was the effect of the mist Bitna had given her, but what they insisted on was different.
Nara claimed that Bitna had created the mist with some kind of her skill, while Jinwoon scolded her, saying that since she was a healer, having enchanter abilities would be impossible unless she had gone through a second awakening, and asked if she really believed that.
Their positions were tightly opposed.
In the end, to confirm who was right, the two of them came to Bitna’s shop as soon as the first round of their alumni gathering ended.
“Bitna!”
Nara boldly flung the door open.
In contrast, Jinwoon held out a box of drinks and cat supplies and bowed politely at the waist.
“I’ve heard a lot about you. I am Kim Jinwoon, Vice Guild Master of the Shilla Guild. I also serve as Guild Master Shin Nara’s secretary.”
“Oh! Hello. I’ve heard a lot about you too. I heard you help unni a lot.”
“Hmph, help her?”
Nara plopped down on the sofa and crossed her legs. Jinwoon gave her a look as if to say it was rude, but she deliberately turned her head away with a huff.
“Unni, what’s wrong.”
“He never listens to me.”
“You said he was someone you were grateful for before.”
“W-When did I ever!”
In an instant, Nara’s face turned red. Jinwoon, too, seemed surprised that she had been speaking well of him behind his back, and his eyes widened behind his glasses.
“Last time, over there……”
“B-Bitna, you know the mist you gave me? The one that smells like lavender!”
Nara, who was stingy with compliments, hurriedly changed the subject while taking out the mist she had carefully carried with her.
“Uh, have you tried this? How’s the effect? Was it good?”
“Can’t you see my skin? I seriously have baby skin now. My skin is probably better than a newborn baby’s.”
“Wow, there’s really not a single blemish?”
Excited, Nara showed her face to Bitna.
Jinwoon stood a little distance away, watching the scene with a faint smile.
Then suddenly, Nara shot him a sharp glare.
“But Bitna, you made this mist yourself, right?”
“Hm? Why?”
“Well, he keeps saying you didn’t make this mist. He says maybe you just added fragrance to an item made by another enchanter? He asks how a healer-type could make items.”
“Ah……”
When Bitna gave an ambiguous smile, Jinwoon inwardly confirmed his victory with a ‘Just as I thought.’
“Please excuse me, but I wondered if perhaps you only added fragrance to an item made by another enchanter. You said you’re a healer-type, so I found it hard to believe you also possess enchanting abilities.”
Jinwoon pointed to the horn-rimmed glasses placed on the shelf and continued.
“I believe that item is the work of Enchanter Shin Sohee. So I’m curious whether the mist was made by Shin Sohee or another enchanter as well.”
“I told you several times it wasn’t! But he still won’t believe me! Who’s right? We’ll keep the secret for sure, so don’t worry!”
“I’m not sure why it shows as unmeasurable on the item appraisal device, but that certainly makes it easy to misunderstand.”
After asking them to wait a moment, Bitna disappeared into the back of the shop.
She had thought she should explain her skill to Nara unni to some extent, and it seemed convenient to tell her now.
The two left behind exchanged glances and growled at each other, telling the other to get ready to pay 500,000 won.
Soon, Bitna came out of the workshop holding a small tube-type cosmetic in her hand.
“This is ordinary massage oil. I’ll use my skill now.”
Bitna held the small tube in her hand.
“Muscle relaxation.”
As she murmured quietly, the two hunters clearly saw invisible mana being drawn into the oil.
At the same time, their reactions split.
“I awakened as a healer that’s a bit hard to explain. Like this.”
Bitna gave Jinwoon a slightly apologetic look. Then she squeezed oil onto the back of Nara’s hand and slowly massaged it in.
Nara focused all her senses on Bitna’s touch.
She was full of anticipation about how the ordinary massage oil would change.
“Oh, oh, oh!”
Nara shouted. It was because of the status window that popped up before her eyes.
“Hey, Jinwoon! It says muscle stiffness rate reduced by 20%, and reduced risk of minor injury!”
“What?”
Jinwoon stared at Bitna’s oil with an expression of disbelief.
“Shall I do it for you too, Mr. Jinwoon?”
Not knowing what to say, he only opened and closed his mouth repeatedly.
He had seen the skill right before his eyes, so it was certain he had lost the bet……
But to get that much of a buff from a single massage.
Moreover, wasn’t the amount of mana used when she activated that skill only enough to fill a teacup?
Jinwoon’s mind began turning rapidly.
This, this is huge.
He pulled out a sheet of paper from the briefcase he always carried.
“Ms. Bitna, would it be possible to mass-produce that oil? The Shilla Guild would like to purchase it exclusively. If possible, we would like to buy all the items you make. We will match whatever price you want. Right, Guild Master?”
“Huh? Me?”
“She says so. I’ll bring the detailed contract tomorrow……”
That’s right. The reason Nara was able to successfully grow an entertainment company and then consecutively establish a guild was all thanks to Jinwoon’s eye for people and for the future.
^[Quest Complete!]^
^[Sell essential oil made with Absolute Sense skill (1/1)]^
^[As a completion reward, 1 stat point and 100 coins will be awarded!]^
I ended up completing the quest unexpectedly.
It was thanks to practically forcing the sale of the oil I had applied to Nara unni’s hand.
Aside from breaking into a cold sweat trying to stop unni from demanding that I hand over everything I had, including this oil, I felt good.
Why? Because I earned 1,000,000 won!
“1,000,000 won for one bottle of oil!”
The days when I would even lose sleep at the end of every month worrying about rent flashed before my eyes like a panorama.
Now I wouldn’t have to eat plain rice soaked in water with only kimchi anymore, and I wouldn’t have to struggle desperately just to reduce gas and electricity bills even a little.
I was overwhelmed with emotion.
After washing up cleanly and lying down on my bed, there was no greater paradise.
I checked the time.
I had already learned through the community that Senior Jinseo had departed, and at this hour he would probably have arrived locally.
I turned on the TV and switched to the Korean Hunter Public Broadcasting channel.
Sure enough, the screen showed reporters gathered at Ulaanbaatar International Airport.
[The country Korea chose after Japan was Mongolia. The exact reason for choosing Mongolia has not yet been revealed.]
[Considering that Hunter Kang Jinseo officially invited Korean broadcasting stations, there is speculation that there may be some kind of political reason.]
“He invited broadcasting stations?”
Suddenly, something I had said passed through my mind.
‘I can’t follow you in person, but I’ll keep up with the broadcast and wait…….’
“Ah, no way…….”
