Description (MTL)
“There is even a joke going around that Sir Maxim defeats his enemies using his good looks, winning every time.”
Maxim Caron. A war hero.
People whispered about the man who suddenly appeared leading a unit in Duron, a provincial city far from the capital.
They said he had come on the Emperor’s orders to seduce the beautiful Renée DeLorean.
“Why on earth would he like getting wet in the rain? What terrible taste.”
“It’s not like I wanted to go with you, either.”
Renée, the person in question, could not accept the rumors.
After all, every time this man opened his mouth, he spewed out nothing but words that made her uncomfortable.
It was difficult in itself for the romantic Renée to understand Maxim, a staunch realist.
Yet, she also couldn’t understand why she couldn’t take her eyes off this man.

“You certainly don’t seem to like talking to me very much.”
“That is true.” “But I do like using my body.”
“What?”
Maxim stopped the horse. For the first time, he looked at René’s face with bare eyes as she stopped, taken aback.
With the eyes of a man who existed only in desire, without needing to be masked by cold reason.
“You like kissing me, don’t you?”
He dismounted. Then, he led René’s horse and his own into the forest.
“What are you doing?”
René asked in surprise, but Maxim did not answer. He simply drove deep into the forest where the sound of the stream could be heard and tied two reins to a suitable tree. Before he knew it, René was wrapped around Maxim’s waist and lowered from the horse.
“Let’s check.”
“Check what?”
“Kissing me. Whether you dislike it or like it.”
