(Plot Summary):
The Blodawen race is known for their extraordinary beauty. When they go through a process called “growth,” they transform into adults. After becoming adults, even men can have children, so they have survived for generations by marrying into powerful nations.
One day, a letter arrives from Talbrin.
“I will come to take the queen.”
The empire known as the Empire of Frost, a dominant world power, announces that it wants to form a marriage alliance with this small country.
“From tomorrow, stay in your room. Don’t even go to the garden.”
“Please… let me at least see Ella’s wedding. I won’t stand out.”
Prince Erwan Blodawen still has not “bloomed” into adulthood even after reaching the age of maturity. Because of this, he is treated like a worthless mutant and lives quietly under his father’s cold gaze.
Still, he wants to see his only sister’s wedding before she leaves. To do that, he secretly attends the banquet disguised as a servant.
But then something completely unexpected happens.
“Erwan Blodawen. I ask you to marry me.”
The one who proposes is Jerkant Kaelen Frosthelm, the King of Talbrin and ruler of the Empire of Frost.
Erwan never imagined that such a powerful king would propose to him.
Later the king tells him:
