Synopsis
I possessed the body of a nobody in the romance-fantasy novel I originally wrote—
an extra who doesn’t even appear in a single line of the story!
And to make things worse…
“Sir! Where is this place?”
“Where else? It’s just an island. A little one.”
As if it weren’t enough that I’m living as a country girl who digs up clams for a living,
I had escaped my hometown with gritted teeth because I hated the island life…
only to end up on another island!
“If you let me board your ship, I’ll make you food like this every day.”
I begged Duke Rupellen, a seafood enthusiast who happened to dock at the island,
offering him a freshly caught octopus.
“I’d like to hire you as the special chef on my ship.”
“Me?”
“Of course. Not only will I let you board for free, but I’ll also pay you ten gold coins a day as wages.”
And just like that, I rashly signed a contract with the Duke.
But… the contract never ends?
Worse yet, he uses it as an excuse to tie me down completely!
“You’re saying you’re going on vacation? Where could you possibly go without me? I can’t allow that, Gianna.”
“What nonsense are you spouting? My vacation is non-negotiable! I won’t accept a take-back!”
“If you’re going, then take me with you. Rest with me, spend your time off with me. That solves everything.”
Tell me, would you want to spend your day off with your boss?!
The Duke starts obsessing over me, all under the pretext of our contract.
