Malicious Stream Sniping (3)
How did “EmperorSword” become an 800K-subscriber YouTuber?
The reason was simple.
His videos were never boring.
Within just two minutes of a match starting, he would take down an enemy champion.
He never avoided 1vX fights, pulling off double kills and triple kills as casually as eating breakfast.
From start to finish, his matches were nonstop carry shows.
Even pulling off pentakills solo wasn’t unusual.
No matter his personality, people couldn’t help but cheer and hit subscribe.
That was how he proudly reached 800K subscribers.
But now… his recent videos barely scraped 20K views.
「Thanks for the ₩1,000 donation!」
▶ “So you’re smurfing on a second account again?”
The fall of EmperorSword was obvious from the YouTube comments:
accusations of smurfing, low-rank stomping, and “anyone could do that in bronze.”
It pissed him off.
“Do they think they’re pros just because they watch esports?”
All he needed were views, but the audience’s standards kept getting higher.
“Look closely. Yes, I’m smurfing, but not on a second account. This is Diamond 1.”
「Thanks for the ₩1,000 donation!」
▶ “So he trashed pro players, but turns out he’s just a diamond scrub. Guess he really only uploads his best games.”
“Bullshit! That’s why I turned on live—to prove it! Why are there so many Wizard fanboys? Cockroaches!”
The word “Wizard” made his viewers spike.
From 9,000… almost 10,000 live viewers.
Half the view count of his latest video—all here, watching live.
If he proved himself now, the contract he wanted would be guaranteed.
“Fine. I’ll show you. Within one week, I’ll reach Grandmaster.”
「Whoa, he just declared GM.」
「Gonna do a live carry show?」
Everything seemed perfect… until he ran into one crazy player.
[Hero ‘Berserker’ has been banned.]
[EmperorSword: ?? What the hell are you doing?]
[DiamondGatekeeperParkYuseong: haha, sorry;;]
His main champion was gone.
The chat exploded.
「Wait… isn’t that Sphinx?」
「Holy shit, it’s actually him!」
“Who the hell is Sphinx? A streamer?”
「Thanks for the ₩1,000 donation!」
▶ “Sphinx is a famous Wizard stream-sniper.”
“Bullshit. He’s just another scumbag stream sniper ruining games.”
He still pushed forward.
But his plan to steal the enemy jungle collapsed—Sphinx interfered.
A 1v1 he would’ve won turned into a 2v2.
[You have been slain.]
「LOL what a clown」
「Did this guy seriously say he’d be GM in a week?」
Frustrated, he tried to blame Sphinx. But then…
[DiamondGatekeeperParkYuseong has achieved a Double Kill!]
「Damn, Sphinx just dove in and destroyed them.」
「The details were insane, dude.」
The viewers loved it.
Meanwhile, EmperorSword’s viewers dropped by 1,000.
Still, he tried to recover.
But every time, Sphinx outshone him—while he kept dying.
「He’s actually trash.」
「YouTubers just upload highlight reels.」
From 9,000 to 5,000 viewers. His career flashed before his eyes.
[EmperorSword: Cover me, you owe me after that double kill.]
[DiamondGatekeeperParkYuseong: Hmm… can’t you just… breathe quietly?]
「LMAO ‘just breathe quietly’」
「His existence is the problem 😂」
EmperorSword was shaking with rage.
But then—his phone buzzed.
A message from MCN “Akdong.”
“We saw your stream. Viewer numbers look good. We’ll finalize the contract on your terms. Tomorrow, we’ll assign you a manager.”
His boiling anger cooled instantly.
He had what he wanted: the contract, the money, the comeback.
The game ended in a messy surrender, and he signed off.
But then… the chat reappeared.
[DiamondGatekeeperParkYuseong: Sorry for ruining the early game.]
Sphinx.
Even his name made EmperorSword furious.
[EmperorSword: LOL you unemployed bum. You stream-sniped me for fun?]
[DiamondGatekeeperParkYuseong: I didn’t stream-snipe. And… it’s “on purpose,” not “purposely.”]
[EmperorSword: Shut the fuck up, at least I was educated properly.]
[DiamondGatekeeperParkYuseong: Please stop with the insults, or I’ll report you.]
[EmperorSword: Do it. Unlike you, I’m signed with a major MCN. Their lawyers will ruin you.]
[DiamondGatekeeperParkYuseong: …But you’re not in any MCN. I checked.]
[EmperorSword: Wrong. I just signed with Akdong. Look it up, loser.]
Sphinx went silent.
EmperorSword smirked—he must’ve scared him off.
But then… a phone call.
From Manager Kang, Akdong MCN.
“Hey, manager Kang! Didn’t you say we’d talk tomorrow?”
―“…Sigh. You didn’t know Sphinx was a streamer?”
“What? That bastard? He’s just a troll, not a streamer.”
―“Check for yourself. He’s live right now.”
The call ended.
He opened YouTube—and froze.
《Sphinx》 – Live Now (Viewers: 4,210)
On screen, a young man waved his hands awkwardly, embarrassed.
But in contrast, EmperorSword’s toxic chat logs were displayed for everyone to see.
「Thanks for the ₩10,000 donation!」
▶ “Thanks Sphinx. I already spread EmperorSword’s meltdown to every community.”
「Thanks for the ₩30,000 donation!」
▶ “I’ve been a Wizard fan since debut. You did God’s work today.”
「Thanks for the ₩1,000 donation!」
▶ “Why so many viewers here? Is this some kind of festival?”
▶ “Not a festival. Just the happiest funeral you’ll ever attend. :)”
