Synopsis

...Please, tell me this is just a dream.

I woke up inside a romance fantasy novel written by my friend.

The character I possessed is Rose Stacy, a tragic extra whose death was meticulously planned by that so-called friend—who also happens to be my worst enemy.

Rose is destined to die.

She dies because of the male lead's indifference and refusal to act. Of course, everyone around her turned a blind eye, but if only that jerk of a male lead hadn't ignored her, she never would have died.

So I swore to stay as far away as possible from that good-for-nothing bastard if I wanted to survive.

But then...

"I, Vaio, propose to you."

Has he lost his mind?

Out of nowhere, the very man I wanted nothing to do with came to propose. Then, dropping his perfect gentleman facade, he made me an offer.

"Don't you want to escape your home? The marriage will last three years. After that, I'll set you free. It's not a bad deal if you want your independence."

"...Well..."

Being able to leave that house was certainly tempting, but there was no way I was risking my life for it.

As I was wondering how to reject him without leaving any room for argument, he made one final declaration.

"Ten million gold."

"What?"

"I'll pay you ten million gold as compensation."

10,000,000!

The moment I heard that amount, all my hesitation vanished.
