Chapter 14
“What… what the heck?!”
“Why is the Black Slime…!”
“Wait, is that… purification?!”
One of the cultists muttered in a trembling voice.
Purification.
A legendary power said to belong only to a Pope chosen by God.
A force with no physical form—yet it was the thing cultists feared the most.
“No. That’s not it.”
The cultist with the armband spoke.
His pale, cold face was unsettling, and the whites of his eyes were unusually large.
He narrowed his eyes.
“That’s not purification.”
The Black Slime hadn’t just disappeared.
It had… melted.
The monster that melted everything it touched had now melted itself.
Wasn’t that the core belief of the Evil God? That all should return to their origin?
This cultist’s name was Decara—Head of Underground Division 321 of the cult.
“Ah… truly…”
He opened his mouth, awestruck.
Where all the Black Slimes had once been, only a giant black puddle remained.
The Evil God’s ultimate goal was to contaminate everything and return all beings to their origin.
That was salvation to them.
The back of Decara’s neck tingled. An unbearable rush of desire and ecstasy filled him.
He had just witnessed a miracle.
“Salvation! We’ve been saved!”
Decara’s eyes gleamed as his grin stretched unnaturally wide.
The child who had melted the Black Slimes now sat in the middle of the puddle.
Bennett stared at Nemesia in a daze.
‘She’s really the Evil God’s child? No, this is…’
Someone who erased a monster that melted all it touched…
You couldn’t call her a cultist.
No—what she’d done looked more like divine intervention.
While the branch leader and Bennett were caught in completely opposite thoughts, the child calmly placed her hand in the black puddle.
Then, Nemesia looked up at them.
“The Black Slimes have returned to His side.”
Her tattered clothes showed glimpses of her pale skin—bright against the dark puddle.
Even seated in sticky sludge, she looked pure and holy.
“They will return… as something greater.”
She bowed and kissed the black liquid.
Even with the goo on her pink hair, she looked untouched.
“The Evil God’s left brain is watching us.”
Bennett couldn’t help but feel a kind of reverence.
Meanwhile, inside Nemesia’s mind:
‘AGHHHH! SO GROSS! AHHH GET ME OUT!’
She was screaming internally like a madwoman.
‘Disgusting! Gaaaaah! Gamer help meeee!’
Being a gamer in the Holy Church was pure hell.
This game was like Mafia:
If your identity gets exposed before the right time—you die.
But this hellishly difficult Korean-style game had one quirk that gave the protagonist an edge:
“Whatever item the protagonist uses for the first time becomes a ‘first-use discovery.’”
[You have acquired the item: Black Moss!]
The moment I entered this place, I picked up Black Moss.
Which means… no cultist or Church member knows what it does.
[Objective Complete! Found 10/10 Black Slimes]
That’s why this mission even popped up.
This is a training dungeon.
With the moss, the monsters are easy to dissolve—it’s a practice tool.

Savior 2: Evil God! Evil God! Evil God!!
Thanks to Black Moss, I survived.
And no one had a clue.
Me, kneeling in a puddle of melted slimes? Not even flinching?
Yeah, that screams divine blessing to them.
‘Whew… good thing I memorized the cult scriptures too. Really helped sell it.’
Only problem—this puddle was so filthy it was making her skin crawl.
‘Kissing sewage vs. getting murdered by cultists… no-brainer.’
‘Thank god I unlocked the cultist route in another playthrough.’
Even if it was just to understand the game’s philosophy—it came in handy.
‘Looks like they bought it.’
In the end, I fooled them without a scratch.
[Achievement Unlocked! “A Cultist’s Shy Favor”]
[Nothing is too hard for a Child of the Divine. Passive Skill Acquired: “Child Actor”]
“Child Actor”—the skill used when you act like a child.
Yes, the name is very literal.
‘Wait… why did I unlock this now?’
No time to think about it.
“It’s… it’s real.”
Decara, the cultist with the armband, suddenly sounded convinced.
He stepped forward and knelt before me.
“Ahh! The Evil God’s Left Brain, forgive my doubt! I repent for questioning You!”
“…”
“O Chosen Child!!”
Thud!
The cultist smashed his forehead to the ground.
Sssst!
‘Eek!’
He’d dipped his head into the slime—some of his hair sizzled off.
And yet, he looked… happy.
‘Why do I feel dirty being good at acting?!’
“That outfit… you’re a Pope Candidate. Has our cult finally infiltrated that far?!”
I saw it—the glint in his eyes, hungry for information.
He still had doubts.
How cute.
I wiped the expression from my face.
“Why would I tell you that?”
“…”
“The Evil God said that knowledge was not meant for some lowly underground branch chief.”
Decara’s face changed—relieved.
Even his doubts were melting away.
“Yes… I was foolish. Then… what do you desire?”
I turned my head slowly and calmly.
‘Glad I got that “Child Actor” skill… I’m starting to tire out.’
This child’s body had low stamina, and keeping up the act was draining.
This skill would help a lot.

Here’s a list of only the best skills you can get from achievements.
…
◆ No.23 “Child Actor”
A super rare early-game skill.
Yes, it’s that Child Actor from the roleplay.
If you got it, congrats—it’s like winning the lottery.
Kids have low stamina and get overwhelmed by cultists easily,
but this skill helps preserve health and lets you pick ideal dialogue options.
But there’s one huge drawback…
“What do I want? A sacrifice.”
I met the eyes of the cultists standing behind him.
They quickly dropped to their knees, terrified.
“You were going to use them as living sacrifices, right?”
I glanced at the floor.
When I was hiding earlier, I hadn’t noticed the massive summoning circle drawn there.
‘Confusion, isolation, containment… a nightmare summoning?’
I read some of the symbols.
“It’s a summoning circle for paranormal beings.”
“……! How do you know that?”
“The Evil God told me.”
I spotted Bennett, still tied up, off to the side.
He flinched when our eyes met.
‘Huh? That look he’s giving me…’
“You planned to summon a creature through the underground, right?
But you don’t have nearly enough sacrifices.”
“That’s not true…”
Decara narrowed his eyes—gauging me.
“Then try it.”
I nodded toward the children.
“Pick one. Summon something. You’ll see I’m right.
Of course, the summoning circle will be useless after that.”
“…”
“And you better hurry.”
I pointed toward the ceiling, emotionless.
“Holy Knights are coming down from above.”
