Chapter 102

E. Came and Went.

A record of someone. That’s what Elizia thought when she first saw it.

“Could it be that even the past Elizia actually went there?”

E is Elizia’s initial. The fact that she can now use the relic to move between dimensions might be because she’s a vessel, but it could also be a power Elizia originally possessed.

If that’s the case, it might be a hint left behind by her past self.

When she asked, Finn paused for a moment, seemingly thinking about how to answer. Then, with a slightly embarrassed expression, he replied:

“Well, it’s a place I often went to, so there are signs someone lived there. It’s a bit messy, though, so it’s kind of embarrassing.”

“Just a place Finn stayed, huh?”

In hindsight, E could also stand for “Ende”…

“I’ve actually been there since I was young. After the Lord of the Magic Tower took me in, I practically lived there for a while.”

“You must have been lonely alone.”

“Not necessarily. And as you know, there’s a time limit for ordinary people to stay there, so I wasn’t there all day.”

“I see.”

If the time to stay is short, someone else could have visited without Finn noticing.

Elizia decided not to ask further about the note she saw at the forest house—it was something she had discovered by snooping around anyway. Instead, she asked the important question at hand.

“So, what happens to me now? Will this be reported to the Lord of the Magic Tower?”

The real issue now was how the Magic Tower would see Elizia. She was already being pursued by the temple for taking a relic; she didn’t want the Magic Tower to label her as a relic user too.

“It is automatically reported to the Lord of the Magic Tower… but I don’t think it will be a problem for you. There’s already a precedent with me for someone capable of dimension travel, so they won’t suspect much, and you’re influential enough that they wouldn’t use this as a burden against you.”

Elizia is Elizia Semperion.

It would be difficult for the Magic Tower to force anything on a direct member of the Semperion family.

“So, as I mentioned earlier, we can just keep this a secret between us. How does that sound?”

“It’s convenient to have family backing at times like this.”

She always thought about escaping her home, but it seemed the Semperion name had its advantages. Even the palace and temple had to show some courtesy, and apparently, the Magic Tower would feel the same.

“Keeping it secret means?”

“It means that neither of us will reveal this to the temple, as it would be problematic. We also won’t inform anyone else besides the Lord of the Magic Tower and me, so please don’t tell anyone in your family either.”

“…I agree with that.”

Elizia nodded quickly. Their interests aligned perfectly—it might have been a predetermined course of action.

“Really, you don’t need to worry. I won’t tell anyone. Even if I did, I’d only get hurt in the end.”

Telling her family would cause chaos, and they might not even keep the secret.

The temple hearing about her using a relic—something even the emissaries couldn’t—could result in her being accused of possessing a living relic and permanently imprisoned.

“Terrifying.”

Elizia sighed and took a bite of fries beside her fried chicken. Dipping them in cream sauce was a fantastic combination. If it got too greasy, she could pair it with a spicy noodle dish—it was perfect.

“It’s amazing that Finn has been in the Cyros Saga world since childhood.”

It was strange how this world was connected to the Cyros Saga. She had learned so many new things today.

“Dimension travel… going to the Cyros Saga kind of ruins the idea of going to Earth, though.”

She couldn’t let go of that thought and asked:

“Finn, have you ever moved to a place other than where we just saw? I mean dimension travel.”

“…I haven’t succeeded, though.”

Finn paused, seeming to gauge how much to reveal, then looked at Elizia with a complicated expression. Slowly, he spoke:

“Theoretically, it’s possible. But… I don’t recommend it.”

His eyes were slightly melancholic, as if recalling the past, and his voice carried a deep concern.

“It depends on which dimension you try to move to. The harder the dimension is to reach, the higher the cost you must bear. Dimensions adjacent to ours can be accessed without major penalties, but higher dimensions require significant sacrifices.”

“What kind of sacrifices?”

“That depends on the dimension. It could be your relic energy, your magic, or even your life…”

‘They could even demand money,’ Elizia thought. Finn had required her to have over a billion cash!

The more she heard, the more the puzzle pieces fit together. That’s why cash was needed to return to Earth.

“And it’s not just the cost—you can suffer side effects. Minor ones include loss of strength or memory, worsening health, and in severe cases… death.”

‘Right. I lost all my skills.’

Without cash or exchange tickets, the system wouldn’t restore her powers.

Elizia nodded. It seemed the system ironically provided clear guidance and easy-to-understand rules for these conditions.

‘Who even made this system?’

Why put her here and helpfully provide a way to escape?

She exhaled and returned to the main question:

“If I gather all the relics, could I open a way to that higher dimension you mentioned?”

“I haven’t tried, so I can’t be certain… but as far as I know, there is a way to go to the higher dimension even without collecting them all.”

“How?!”

“So far, all we know is that ‘qualified people can attempt something through the relics in the temple.’ The exact method is unknown.”

‘Vague as ever!’

But it meant the temple held the key. It reminded her of the basement she had never accessed. Maybe she could reach Earth without collecting all the cash.

Elizia pondered with a complicated expression.

She wanted to continue, but if she didn’t rest, she would have to head to the forest for the re-examination immediately. So, she told Finn to rest and returned to her room. Soon, as dawn broke, she had to go out again without sleep.

“Good morning, viewers. Did you sleep well?”

No!!

What happened after the relic storage?

Explain what happened!!

“…It cut off from there. Sorry.”

Elizia hung her head apologetically. At that time, she was too distracted to check, but the broadcast had automatically stopped during dimension travel. Maybe she shouldn’t have assumed the camera would stay on.

‘I hope saying this won’t get filtered.’

Still, she needed to explain properly and began detailing what happened.

“I traveled dimensions… and ended up in the Cyros Saga.”

Really???

Haha, maybe it’s an Easter egg since they’re from the same company.

What did you do in the Cyros Saga??

“I couldn’t stay long, so I came out almost immediately. I just took a quick look around.”

Oh.

Are they planning to connect it later…?

Is this a spoiler??

“…I don’t know.”

Elizia gave an awkward smile. Still, the chat reactions exploded.

So you’ve been using Cyros Saga skills this whole time?

Is this some big plan to merge the games?

Why merge them though; they’re totally different genres.

‘Filtering?’

Elizia noticed something odd among the passing chat. She had seen some words filtered before, but had ignored them as overly vulgar language.

But this time, she couldn’t ignore it.

‘Wait, they’re hiding the game company name.’

Elizia flinched at the realization. Surprisingly, she hadn’t known the company name until now. She had complained through admins before, yet never remembered the real name. Strange.

‘I think even the status window just displayed random strings.’

“Can someone tell me the game company name… again?”

What? ■■■?

How can you not know the company you work for? LOL

No, it’s just a promotion.

■■■ ■■ ■■■■!

“I can’t see the game company name… Can you give me another hint?”

You can’t see it?

How do you give a hint then…?

It’s a bit strange. I mentioned it yesterday…

The first part is the same as the Duchess’s name, which is weird.

Right, that was funny LOL.

“Uh…?”

Katrin Semperion.

That’s the name written in the book she saw yesterday.

“The company name starts with Katrin?”

But how does a promotion channel not know the company name LOL

Yes, but that’s not the end. The company name is a sentence in English, and they just shorten it to ■■■.

“…A sentence? What does that mean?”

Elizia felt this might be a very important hint. If she didn’t know now, something bad might happen. She read the next chat with a serious face.

Interpreted, ‘■■■’ means “alive” LOL. And ‘■■■’ is the same as the Duchess’s name.

“…Katrin is alive?”

The moment she said that, every surrounding light flickered. Elizia felt a chill run down her spine.

Elizia’s mother, Duchess Katrin Semperion, is alive.

…Strangely enough, that is also the name of the game company.
